JUDICIAL ETHICS COMMITTEE


 

The Judicial Ethics Committee resolves complaints from individual citizens, government officials or legal entities regarding a judge’s discipline, accountability and ethics, and decides whether to impose disciplinary sanctions or not on a judge upon review and consideration of a disciplinary case.

The Committee consists of nine members, selected from among distinguished legal professionals and academic scholars. Three members are respectively nominated from the courts of first instance, appeal and the Supreme Court, and three members by the Bar Association of Mongolia and three members by the Ministry of Justice, all subject to appointment by the President of Mongolia.
